During the 12 days safari, you will start from Entebbe, onto rhino tracking in Ziwa Sanctuary,

safari game drives in Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Volcanoes National Park.

 

The tour can also start from Kigali and end in Uganda.

You can also climb a volcano or go for a nature walk or visit the endangered golden monkey. You can also climb a volcano, visit the remains of Dian Fossey’s grave or visit the endangered golden monkey.

  • Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

  • Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park safari game drives and boat safaris

  • Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park, East Africa's primate capital

  • Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and other primate viewing in Kibale National Park

  • Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park for safaris

  • Day 6: Wildlife and boat safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park, tree-climbing lions in Ishasha & Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

  • Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  • Day 9: The Virungas, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Burela, Rwanda

  • Day 10: Gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans

  • Day 11: Day to explore Volcanoes National Park- Golden monkeys, hikes to Karinsimbi, Dian Fossey, Muhavura or cultural village visits

  • Day 12: Kigali tour, visit genocide memorial and departure

SEASONS

  • January to March: Hot and dry, an excellent time of year to be on safari in Uganda.

  • April and May: Uganda’s long rainy season when many camps are closed. Rains tend to be in the morning and late afternoon.

  • June to September: Temperatures climb rapidly and this is a fantastic time of year for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

  • October to December: Another great time of year to be on safari, you can get some rain in November but temperatures are favourable and conditions are ideal for game viewing.
