Uganda is an equatorial country of astonishing contrasts. from the source of the White Nile on Lake Victoria to the snow-capped Rwenzori range, the montane forest of the Virunga volcanoes to the desert plains of Karamoja. No other area in Africa can match its amazing diversity of habitats and this richness is reflected in its ever-burgeoning bird list of over 1100 species.

While on this trip you will visit the Mabamba Bay, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo National Park where by variety of birds like the shoebill stork, pelican bee-eaters, shallow, sprawls, warbler will be spotted.

Other activities encountered on this trip include the game drives, boat ride, chimpanzee trekking, gorilla tracking and much more in this Birding Uganda Adventure Safari.

  • Day 1: Mabamba Bay Birding Uganda, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park

  • Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park Birding, Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  • Day 3-4: Birding Lake Mburo National Park

  • Day 5-7: Birding in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

  • Day 8-9: Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Day 9: Day of Birding

  • Day 10: Birding-Kibale National Park

  • Day 11: Kibale National Park

  • Day 12: Birding to Murchison Falls National Park

  • Day 13: Murchison Falls National Park

  • Day 14: Birding to Kampala

SEASONS

  • January to March: Hot and dry, an excellent time of year to be on safari in Uganda.

  • April and May: Uganda’s long rainy season when many camps are closed. Rains tend to be in the morning and late afternoon.

  • June to September: Temperatures climb rapidly and this is a fantastic time of year for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

  • October to December: Another great time of year to be on safari, you can get some rain in November but temperatures are favourable and conditions are ideal for game viewing.
